Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Last Updated: November 1, 2025
Good News: We Do NOT Sell Your Personal Information
PodAlpha does NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for monetary or other valuable consideration.
This page exists to comply with California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) requirements, but there is no action needed on your part because we do not engage in the sale of personal information.
1. Our Commitment to Privacy
At PodAlpha, we take your privacy seriously. We believe your personal information belongs to you, not to advertisers or data brokers. That's why:
- We do NOT sell your email address, name, or any other personal information to third parties
- We do NOT share your data with advertising networks or data brokers
- We do NOT use your data for cross-site or behavioral tracking
- We do NOT participate in data marketplaces or audience selling
Our business model is simple: we provide value through content curation, and you pay for premium features if you choose. We don't monetize your data.
2. What Does "Sale" Mean Under CCPA?
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), a "sale" is defined broadly as:
"Selling, renting, releasing, disclosing, disseminating, making available, transferring, or otherwise communicating orally, in writing, or by electronic or other means, a consumer's personal information by the business to a third party for monetary or other valuable consideration."
This broad definition can include things like sharing data with advertising partners, even if no direct money changes hands (e.g., in exchange for free analytics services).
PodAlpha does NOT engage in any of these activities.
3. How We Share Your Information
While we don't sell your data, we do share certain information with service providers who help us operate our business. This is NOT considered a "sale" under CCPA because these providers are contractually required to use your data only for the specific services they provide to us.
| Service Provider | Purpose | Data Shared | Is This a Sale? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Database hosting & authentication | Account data, email, preferences | NO |
| Stripe | Payment processing | Email, payment info, subscription data | NO |
| Resend | Email delivery | Email address, name, content summaries | NO |
| OAuth authentication (if you choose) | Email address | NO | |
| OpenAI/Anthropic | AI content summarization | Video content (no personal user data) | NO |
These service providers are bound by contracts that:
- Prohibit them from using your data for their own purposes
- Require them to maintain the confidentiality and security of your data
- Require them to comply with applicable privacy laws
- Require them to delete your data when we request it
4. No Third-Party Tracking or Advertising
Unlike many websites, PodAlpha does NOT:
- Use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or other third-party analytics services that might share your data
- Display advertisements or work with ad networks
- Use retargeting or remarketing cookies
- Participate in advertising exchanges or real-time bidding
- Share your browsing behavior with data brokers
- Create or sell audience segments based on your activity
This means there's no risk of your data being "sold" through these common practices.
5. Your CCPA Rights (California Residents)
As a California resident, you have the following rights under the CCPA:
5.1 Right to Know

5.3 Right to Opt-Out of Sale
You have the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information. However, since PodAlpha does NOT sell your personal information, there is nothing to opt out of.

9. California "Shine the Light" Law
